About me
When not parenting or working, I am an aspiring poet and spoken word performer (under the stage name Papasquatch) and co-host the Humble Poets Open Mic in North Portland. I am also a mythteller, available for hire for all your ritualistic storytelling needs. I also run men's circles .
I graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in biogeography and then from Lewis & Clark College with a Master of Arts Teaching (secondary math & science).
Through the generations, my family have proven to be creative entrepreneurs. I am a father of two, one adult, one on the verge of adulthood. My youngest (17) runs a small baking operation out of our home in Portland, OR, which you can check out here. I am also a massage therapist, specializing in posture and mobility. (Check out my website, here). My mother runs a brain health newsletter worth checking out. And her father, Grandpa Al, was an inventor.
And finally, I have a kick-ass girlfriend.

Mission statments can be pretty lofty and complicated. Mine is quite simple: to track your financials and make it easier to make smart decisions about your business or personal finances.
